Strength and Health Through Synergy

Causes of Vitamin D Deficiency

chemtrailsThere are definitely many causes of Vitamin D deficiency. On my own part I haven’t traveled to hot countries nor had the leisure of gradually building up a colour (for protection), and I was living in Vancouver BC for 30 years, and it barely gets hot there.

By the time I arrived in sunny south-western Ontario two years ago it was late summer and I hadn’t yet educated myself on the sun.

Working indoors for eleven years I hardly had time to think about it. When the whole idea of the benefits of the sun filtered into my consciousness I had alot of barriers to overcome in my mindset.

First of all, I lived through a prolonged media scare some decades ago…and a push by the sunscreen and sunblock industries. We all pretty much fell for it! Now we take for granted misinformation that was planted sometime before and perpetuated by well-meaning parents and friends.

My mother is quite wrinkled at age 80 and she said she thought it was from either smoking all those years (she quit at least 20 years ago) or going to Florida (as a “Snow Bird”) every year. Or worry over six kids, 21 grandkids, 7 great-grandkids? Funny how the media affects us.

Even my new dental hygienist was having a conversation with me today (I was captive in the reclining chair) and she was remarking about the people she knows who avoided the sun but got skin cancers (Vitamin D helps more than a dozen cancers).

The mistaken notion I had to keep my children out of the sun most definitely came from the media. It was all pervasive. The only other counter-intuitive information I came across was pagan nudity, but I don’t want to worship the sun!

God knows how little sun I received and I shudder to think how very little my children were exposed to! I gave some cod liver oil to each (I had four children) and I now know how very little that really was. My youngest is having trouble getting all her teeth lined up and popping in correctly, caused by lack of D which is absolutely essential for teeth and bones.

List of Causes of Vitamin D Deficiency:

1. Mindset—which has to do with media
2. Sunscreen, sunblock
3. Time spent in sun—indoors, cars, sitting & walking in the shade
4. Chem-trails, pollution, weather
5. Latitude, time of year
6. Parents blood levels of D, especially during pregnancy
7. Clothes

Here’s an interesting quote by Dr. Mercola (a favourite expert) “I would add that chemtrails are playing a part in reducing the amount of beneficial sunlight we receive.”

It’s not enough just to walk to your cars, people! You must make a concerted effort to get your Vitamin D. Truly, people in Hawaii are indoors working and are severely deficient as well. What does that say? We are working indoors all day because of our modern lifestyle. Do you know how hard it is to see a computer screen in full sunlight?

Or covering up! Always covering up with clothes and lotion. Not sure which is worse, because our skin absorbs all the chemicals of the lotion (unless you’re using coconut oil, and don’t get me started on ordinary oils, because they’re rancid even in the bottle before you open it).

Under “mindset” I will add: the fear of tanning beds and shutting the mind even to the new kind without the ballast that gives the right kind of rays (UVB) while slowly building up protection from the harmful “long” UV.

Basically causes of Vitamin D Deficiency are numerous and the odds are stacked up against us. It’s almost like we were under a death sentence. Even though the way is not hidden, it is if you don’t know to look for a way.

The sun is the best source and we are built to receive it and use it but how can we get around all the roadblocks? Have a road map, keep up-to-date on what’s going on. Until you figure out how to get enough good sunlight then you’ll have to use a good supplement (please don’t depend solely on food, additives or a multi-vitamin only).

Feel that you’re learning much on this neglected subject? Excellent. Now we’re getting somewhere!
